B.A. English Literature with Digital Media and Communications with Year Abroad Full-time

Year: 4
2026/27 Session

Students must choose one of the following:

LH Dissertation in English Literature 09 27043 40 Full Term

Students may choose one of the following module combinations:

Choice 1: 60 credits in Digital Media and Communications and 60 credits in English Literature
Option A: Digital Media and Communications Project, one Digital Media and Communications module, three English Literature modules
Option B: English Literature Dissertation, one English Literature module, three Digital Media and Communications modules

Choice 2: 80 credits in English Literature and 40 credits in Digital Media and Communications
Option C: English Literature Dissertation, two English Literature modules, two Digital Media and Communications modules

Choice 3: 80 credits in Digital Media and Communications and 40 credits in English Literature Option D: Digital Media and Communications Project, two Digital Media and Communications modules, two English Literature modules

Students must take two modules in each semester

It is only possible to take one English Literature module from any particular block of modules

Students must complete a minimum of 40 credits in both Digital Media and Communications and English Literature

Students may choose one Employability module in place of one of their option modules.

Students may apply to undertake a Professional Skills module at level H. If successful, this will be taken in place of one of their semester 1 taught modules. The placement can be taken either during the summer vacation (part-time or full- time) or during semester 1 (part-time only). The placement must be completed prior to the Christmas vacation. Students who undertook a Professional Skills module at level I will not be able to undertake a Professional Skills module at level H.
